Educational Qualification
Class 12 (Intermediate) or equivalent from a recognised board. No degree required — this is a 12th pass exam.

Special / Additional Relaxations
- Central Government employees with at least 3 years of continuous service: 5 years relaxation.
- Candidates domiciled in J&K from Jan 1, 1980 to Dec 31, 1989: 5 years relaxation.
- Widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated: age limit raised to 35 years (General).
Important Notes
- Age is reckoned as of January 1st of the exam year.
- Class 12 appearing students are NOT eligible — result must be declared before the closing date of application.
- Typing speed test is mandatory for PA/SA (35 WPM English or 30 WPM Hindi) and DEO posts (8,000 key depressions/hour).
